Community Building
The armed conflict left the community of Minca incredibly divided. We are helping to rebuild trust and sense of community by bringing back some of the events that united the town like indigenous encounters, sports tournaments, traditional dance and music festivals and more.

We are also creating an archive of the interviews we are conducting and photos we have collected, to share experiences and better relate and understand one another. Learn more on our INVESTIGATION page.
Creating Opportunities
In order to ensure that locals can also be competitive in Minca today, we offer free English classes every week, cultural presentations, business workshops, scholarship searches, translations and legal consulting for local entrepreneurs, and have a mini tienda to promote local products.
Global Understanding
The stereotype of Colombia is outdated and Colombians are tired of being associated with drugs and Pablo Escobar. By giving local a place to share their experiences with tourists, we are breaking down those barriers, reminding travellers that every town has a story. The more people understand the history and culture, the more they respect, value and care for the place and people. Together we can make sure the tourism in Minca is sustainable socially, economically and environmentally.
